Feature usHelp us raise awareness for aesthetic patients through emotional support. Help us shape the future of cosmetic surgery by featuring our services for patient support.
Our original site is called Cosmeticsupport.com Co-founded by Deborah Sandler (MBACP) and Arthur Anderson (PhD, CPsychol, AFBPsS, CSci) as a Non-Profit Independent emotional support service for cosmetic patients. We are passionate about patient support Not enough support is available for the private cosmetic patient. Too much shame still surrounds cosmetic surgery. Shame and secrecy must be replaced with open healthy conversations that are kept private and confidential. Cosmetic surgery is not 'trivial' and must be taken seriously. Online support that can be trusted remains crucial. |
#Ask The TherapistAsk The Therapist is a unique service I offer that allows patients to come and explore their expectations before and after surgery. Unlike other support groups with hidden commercial or referral agendas, my service is independent. I am a psychotherapist and stick to the BACP code of ethics. Plus - I allow patients to use the internet but retain confidentiality about their experience of cosmetic surgery.
I do not sell or promote products. We rely on memberships and sponsorship. Cosmeticsupport.com is an independent, non-profit website set up in 2000 and is a Member of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Body Image as well as an Expert Reference Group Member of the Health Education England NWL.

Body Image IssuesAfter a life-time struggling with body image issues, I wound up having cosmetic surgery to correct a badly created scar. Against the traditional school of thought that people with body image issues do not benefit from surgery - I did.
I became aware how much mis-information the internet created for cosmetic patients and I set about trying to correct that in some small way by setting up Cosmeticsupport.com in January 2000. Find out more. Contact me here |
